Netflix Pick- on a lighter note!

I like to share the things that I enjoy along with important topics with my listeners so I've decided to share my weekly Netflix pick in addition to the hard hitting topics that I cover. On a lighter note, I'll be adding a weekly movie or series pick- some will be documentaries, while others will be what I'm watching (I don't watch a lot of TV- so I'm pretty picky. Last week I chose the Machine Gun Preacher, based on the true story of Sam Childers, a drug dealer who turns his life around to become a spiritual warrior. He rescues child soldiers in the Sudan from lives ruined by their forced participation in bloody conflict. This was a wonderful film, it is heart felt and inspirational- I am hoping that Sam Childers will be available to join me on my show to discuss his life and his mission to help others. (I have contacted him, and currently he is abroad doing his work)

This week my pick is Ip Man (there is also a sequel Ip Man 2) "An occupying Japanese general (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi) challenges Chinese men to duels so he can prove the superiority of the Japanese. Ip Man (Donnie Yen) -- a Chinese martial arts master forced to work in the mines -- refuses to fight, but can resist for only so long. Revisit the early days of Ip Man, who gained later fame as an early trainer of Bruce Lee, in director Wilson Yip's action-packed biopic set during the Sino-Japanese War" (Netflix.com). This movie is an amazing action film, with an incredible story.

Tune into my show next week to find out what my pick will be!
